Salman Khan had an interesting question for Karan Johar when he appeared on the first episode Coffee with Karan Season 9. The actor revealed his old feud with Shah Rukh Khan, talking about why Karan gets nervous around him.
What did Salman Khan say?
The new season premiered on 14 October on JioHotstar, with Salman as the first guest. During the conversation, Karan admitted that the actor still makes him nervous.
“I don’t get more stress, panic and hyper from you. I don’t know why that hasn’t changed,” Karan told Salman.
Salman quickly asks if there is any reason behind Karan’s panic. “Is it because of you or is it because of someone else?” she asked, referring to her previous relationship with Shah Rukh.
He then reassures Karan that there is nothing to worry about now. “Right now you shouldn’t stress because everything is fine. It’s been good for a long time,” Salman said.
The actor admits that things were not always like this. “At one point, it was not good. So, I could understand that you are afraid of me not because of you, but because of Shahrukh,” he added.
Karan laughed off the suggestion, but Salman’s comment brought back memories of the much talked about spat between the two superstars.
What happened between Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan?
Salman and Shah Rukh reportedly fell out in July 2008 after an argument at Katrina Kaif’s birthday party in Mumbai.
According to reports, the rift started over comments about their television show, ten ka dum And Are you faster than the fifth pass? The controversy reportedly heated up after Salman’s comments about his then ex-girlfriend Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Karan, who was reportedly present at the party, left with Shah Rukh and his wife Gauri Khan after the argument.
The two actors remained estranged for several years before putting their differences aside. In July 2013, they shared a public hug at politician Baba Siddique’s Iftar party, ending years of speculation about their relationship.
Since then, Salman and Shah Rukh have been on better terms and have even appeared in each other’s films.
