Tamannaah Bhatia has responded to actor Annu Kapoor’s comments about her appearance last year.
The actress was speaking at NDTV Profit Ignite 2026, where she was asked about the comment on her complexion, which was criticized as vulgar and sexist.
During the conversation, Tamannaah was also asked if she wanted the audience to see her differently at this stage in her career, beyond her image as someone known for her screen presence and sensibility.

Responding to the question, Tamannaah said, “I think our most important job as a creative person is listening. And understanding what we retain and what we filter when we listen is very important. And since you are a woman too, you can understand that if we start valuing such things, maybe we can move forward in life.”
She added, “So I don’t even look at these things. I focus on my work. I focus on what I want to create. I focus on my acting career.”
Explaining her approach to her profession, the actress said, “And really, according to me, I want to do my work as a service. And I do that. And maybe it reaches people, because somewhere it comes from the right place.”
