BLACKPINK’s Jennie is no longer just turning heads at red carpet events. This time, she’s officially the “main event” (literally).
On Monday, June 10, Jennie Kim completed another agenda on her accomplishment list. The K-pop idol, singer, rapper, and actress finally debuted as a runway model. Stepping out for Jacquemus’ “La Casa” cruise show, she stunned everyone on the fashion stage and closed out the event that celebrated the brand’s 15 years.
Jennie’s grand debut in the fashion world took place against the stunning backdrop of a cliffside seascape on the Italian island of Capri. Despite the star-studded crowd (which included Dua Lipa, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Gwyneth Paltrow and more) on the rooftop of Casa Malaparte, the versatile founder of Oud Atelier commanded with her sensational catwalk in a backless, sleeveless black midi dress. Her look was further enhanced by a turquoise Le Rond Carre bag from Jacquemus.

The Solo singer is no stranger to this ‘Maison’ and has attended other shows at this venue before. 24 hours before the fashion show started, Jacquemus teased Jenny’s presence at the venue through a social media post.
The Blackpink member appeared in a mysterious carousel Instagram post, which was enough to fuel speculation about her official involvement as the face of the brand. The 28-year-old star posed in front of the stunning surroundings of the island in the same hairstyle she featured in the show. Wearing black sunglasses, with a red towel wrapped like a dress, Kim admired the awe-inspiring beauty of the island.

Jenny is a good friend of Jacques and is also well acquainted with the model’s personality. She has previously fronted several important campaigns for Chanel, Calvin Klein, Gentle Monster and many others.
Her longtime association with the former luxury brand has led her fans to affectionately nickname her the “Human Chanel,” especially after her much-talked-about debut at the 2023 Met Gala in a vintage 1990 Chanel dress.
