George Clooney and Amal’s once-fabulous marriage appears to be facing challenges. According to a recent InTouch report, George will move to New York for at least a year to star on ‘Broadway,’ while Amal will remain in a Lake Como villa 4,000 miles away from her husband.
George Clooney and Amal are living separate lives
In 2014, actor-filmmaker George Clooney and human rights lawyer Amal Clooney vowed to never be apart for “more than a week” despite their busy schedules. However, according to an anonymous source, the couple are now reportedly living separate lives due to their intense work commitments. In 2021 the Oscar winner announced his intention to make family his top priority and to retire from acting by the age of 60. Well, at 63, he’s been hopping from set to set – filming with Adam Sandler in Italy after directing ‘The Boys in the Boat’ and reuniting with Brad Pitt for ‘Wolves’ in New York.

“When I turned 60, my wife and I had a conversation about this. I said, ‘We both love the work we do. But we have to make sure we don’t make fools of ourselves,'” he said at the time. Coming back to the present, the outlet reports, “George runs his filmmaking operation — from directing and producing to taking on acting roles in other people’s projects — like a military general. He is a perfectionist and demands perfection from everyone who comes forward to work with him.” Insisting that his dedication to his work has only gotten ‘extreme,’ the source adds, “He’s not doing this for the money. He really enjoys it and is extremely active.”

‘Amal’s lifestyle is chaotic’
From what has been said, it seems Clooney is not the only one who has let his work take over his private life. His wife, Amal, a lawyer specialising in human rights, is equally busy, often out and about due to her busy client meetings. They are believed to be actively involved in work around the world that the general public rarely sees. They split their time between London, where they deal with their clients, and The Hague, Netherlands, which is the location of the International Criminal Court. Recently, they spent four months working with other legal professionals from around the world on a project in The Hague. Insiders have revealed that the couple have reportedly “broken up” due to the pressure.
