In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter ahead of the premiere of Paper Tiger on the Croisette at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, Scarlett talked about her experience working on the crime thriller. The actor also reflected on reuniting with his Marriage Story co-star Adam Driver for the first time in seven years and shared his excitement about collaborating with him on screen again.
Although the 42-year-old actor has only shared a few scenes with Scarlett in the upcoming crime thriller, the actress admitted that she would have loved to collaborate with him even more. Reflecting on their reunion seven years later, Scarlett praised Adam as a scene partner and said, “I would have loved to do even more scenework with him, I love working with him.”

Discussing the similarities he saw between Johansson’s character Hester and the actor and her role, James praised her authenticity and intuitive sense of performance, saying, “Scarlett would never do anything that wasn’t real. You have to be careful because it could be completely real, but it would be outside the scope of the language of the film. You should say it all, but I couldn’t be more honest when I say that I’ve really had the greatest joy as a director.
