The Marvel Cinematic Universe has built a reputation for rewarding eagle-eyed fans. Almost every trailer hides clues, references, and comic book callbacks that turn out to be important later.
The first trailer for Avengers: Doomsday is no exception. The two-minute preview is filled with hidden details that hint at the film’s story, introduce comic-accurate costumes and tease the arrival of Doctor Doom.
Here are 12 Easter eggs you may have noticed before:
1. Three Earths Colliding at Avengers Tower
The trailer shows three connected Earths moving towards Avengers Tower. Fans believe that these represent the Earth-616, Earth-828, and X-Men universes colliding into each other.
If true, this scene could tease an infighting where multiple universes collide, a story taken straight from Marvel Comics.
2. Thor finally goes for the head:
Thor attacks Doctor Doom directly and turns Stormbreaker on his head. This is a clear callback to Avengers: Infinity War, when Thor admitted that he should have “goed for the head” against Thanos.
However, an even bigger surprise is that Doom holds Stormbreaker with only his fingers.
3. Doctor Doom’s first Eastern European accent
Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom speaks with an Eastern European accent. This selection pays homage to Victor Von Doom’s comic book roots. Doom is the ruler of Latveria, the fictional Eastern European nation that has defined the character for decades.

4. Mjolnir Ability Callback
Steve Rogers once again picks up Mjolnir, paying homage to the iconic moment of Avengers: Endgame, but this time it belongs to his daughter Love.
5. Steve Rogers’ Nomad look resembles Avengers: Infinity War
Steve Rogers steps out of the shadows with long hair and beard, and takes us back to his dramatic Edinburgh entrance, almost shot from Infinity War.
6. Namor’s moisture suit from the comics
Namor is seen wearing a black suit covered in blue scales. Comic readers will recognize this as his moisture suit, which helps him stay hydrated during long periods of time on the ground.
7. Namor divides the sea and is stopped by Storm Su
The trailer shows Sue Storm using her powers to stop high walls of water, while Namor parts the ocean beneath her.

8. Mystique’s comic-accurate costume
Rebecca Romijn returns as Mystique wearing a costume that closely resembles her original comic book appearance. This design is a departure from the body-painted look popular in Fox’s previous X-Men films.
9. Cassie Lang’s comic-perfect blonde hair
Cassie Lange now has blonde hair, which is very close to her comedic appearance. It’s a small detail, but comic readers noticed it right away.
10. Herbie inside the X-Mansion
During the battle inside the X-Mansion, the Fantastic Four’s robotic companion Herbie briefly appears in the background. The character first gained popularity through the original Fantastic Four animated series.
11. Loki’s TVA card and Steve Rogers’ house
Sharp-eyed fans spotted Loki’s TVA ID with a multiverse tree on the back. Some believe this is directly tied to Loki’s sacrifice in the Disney+ series.
Another scene shows Steve Rogers’ home, leading to the theory that Loki may have warned him about Doctor Doom.
12. Doombots scattered across the battlefield
Robot parts litter the battlefield where Thor lands. Comic fans immediately recognized them as the Doombots, robotic duplicates of Doctor Doom. In Marvel comics, heroes are often left wondering whether they have defeated the real Doom or one of his many bots.
