Yami Gautam, who was honored with his first National Award Section 370Attended the prestigious event along with her husband and director Aditya Dhar. The 72nd National Film Awards ceremony took place in Gujarat.
Section 370 Won three major awards, including Best Feature Film, Best Actress for Yami Gautam, and Best Music Direction (Songs) for Shashwat Sachdev. Notably, Aditya was one of the producers and writers of Dhar Section 370. Yami was also with him. While Yami wore a black saree for the occasion, Aditya opted for a black bandhgala.
Now, a video of Aditya Dhar has gone viral on social media, in which he is seen getting emotional as Yami receives the national award from President Draupadi Murmu.

“That’s what we’re here for Section 370. Hopefully we will come next year too,” said Dhurandhar The director ahead of the 72nd National Film Awards.
“It feels great. It’s the biggest validation any artiste can get. I think it’s the highest honor your country has given you. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to express how I’m feeling right now. I’m still trying to sink in,” said Yami Gautam while talking to DD.

Directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, who co-wrote the film with Aditya Dhar, Monal Thacker, and Arjun Dhawan, Article 370 stars Yami Gautam and Priyamani, along with Skand Thakur, Ashwini Kaul, Vaibhav Tatwadi, Arun Govil, and Kiran Karmarkar.
It is based on the 2019 abrogation of the special status granted to Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370 of the Constitution of India. Yami Gautam has played the role of NIA officer Zuni Haksar in the film. In the role, Yami, aka Zuni, fights for the repeal of Article 370 of the Constitution of India.
The film was released worldwide on February 23, 2024. Made on a budget of Rs 20 crore, the film earned Rs 110 crore at the box office.
