Bandareddy Sukumar won the National Film Award for Best Original Screenplay Pushpa: Rules At the 72nd National Film Awards.
Congratulating Sukumar, Allu Arjun took to X to share a heartfelt message. He wrote, “Congratulations to my director @aryasukku garu! Been waiting for this moment. This award means as much to me as mine. Finally, we both got the national award for #pushpa. “Thank you.”

Allu Arjun won the Best Actor Award at the 69th National Film Awards Pushpa: Rise. His win was a major milestone for Telugu cinema, as he became the first Telugu actor to receive the honor in the category.
The pushpa Started with the franchise Pushpa: RiseReleased in 2021. The film follows Pushpa Raj, played by Allu Arjun, as he goes from being a daily wage laborer to becoming a leading figure in the red sanders’ smuggling business.
Sukumar’s film also starred Rashmika Mandana and Fahadh Faasil and became a huge success across India.
The story continued with Pushpa: Ruleswhich hit theaters in 2024. The sequel picked up from where the first film ended and focused on Pushpa’s growing influence, her equation with Srivalli and her clash with Fahadh’s Bhanwar Singh Shekavat. Like its predecessor, the film performed strongly at the box office.

Rajkumar Periasamy received the best director award AmranWhile Section 370 Awarded the title of Best Feature Film. Kalki 2898 AD Won the award for Best Popular Film Providing Best Entertainment. Veteran actor Ananth Nag was also honored with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
