After three years away from touring, Guru Randhawa is returning to live performance with a concert at a stadium in Delhi. The singer has announced The Sirra Live in ConcertWhich will be held on December 12 at the Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Stadium. This show will be his first solo stadium concert.
Along with the concert announcement, Guru has spoken about the challenges he faced during his hiatus and the criticism surrounding his recent releases. He alleged that “targeted campaigns” tried to undermine his 2026 music releases but said he chose to stay focused on his work.
Guru shared a video on Instagram on Wednesday, looking back on his journey from Punjab to becoming a household name in the music industry. In his note, he thanked fans for supporting him throughout his career and explained why he has stepped away from touring after performing regularly until 2023.
He wrote, “To My Day Ones It was somewhere in 2023… I was standing in an arena surrounded by a sea of happy hearts. Those years spent on the road, walking back and forth, are memories I am forever grateful for. You truly gave a boy from Punjab everything he had ever dreamed of. But soon after that, life closed a door on me, closed in on me. So many lonely ones. Fought battles that I abandoned with the intention of rebuilding myself and in the process, I found myself on a side I never knew some storms meant in silence.”
The singer also reflected on his independent music journey, which gained momentum in 2025. He credited tracks such as Killer, Sira, Azul, Perfect, Pan India, Shakini And Dopamine to help him build this chapter of his career.
Talking about the criticism of his recent songs, Guru added, “A new beautiful chapter emerged in 2025, which marked my independent debut. God provided me with more than I had prayed for. Together, we knocked it out of the park with Q.”Atal Sira, Azul, Perfect, Pan India, Shakini And Dopamine. Responding to the backlash in an Instagram post, the singer appeared unfazed by the trolling and defended the catchy nature of the track.
