Five hours after Tiger Shroff was shot dead in Mumbai’s Juhu area, his ex-girlfriend Disha Patani visited him at his home. In the viral videos, Disha looks quite distressed and runs towards her house avoiding the shutterbugs.
After the incident, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde met the actor at his residence. After the shooting incident, the first picture of Tiger Shroff has come out. In the picture, the actor is seen with multiple dressings and a bandaged arm.
On Sunday, Tiger was returning after playing football at a club in Pushpa Park, Juhu, when three bike-borne gunmen allegedly fired at least five rounds at his car. The driver of the Tiger and an autorickshaw driver were injured in the incident. After his driver was injured, Tiger took over the wheel.
Soon after the shooting, two alleged operatives of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu, claimed responsibility for the attack in separate social media posts.
In a post in Hindi with a voice message, he said, “We called him (Tiger Shroff) and explained it, but he didn’t understand. So today, we made it very clear to him that anyone in the Mumbai film industry who doesn’t accept what we say or works with Salman Khan is next in line.”
Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that during the firing, Tiger Shroff’s hand was injured by gunpowder and broken glass pieces.
“I met the actor; he has injuries on his left hand due to gunpowder and glass fragments. Both he and his mother are quite shaken…” he said.
Shinde said the government stands with the bereaved family and will not tolerate any such incident where public figures are being targeted.
He said, “I have assured them that the state government stands by them in view of the threats being made against public figures… Any kind of threats will not be tolerated.”
Disha Patani and Tiger Shroff were rumored to be dating earlier. The actor opened up about his and Disha Patani’s break-up on Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan 7. Karan Johar asked Tiger: “Are you dating her now because there were break-up rumours?” To this Tiger replied, “Oh really? Well, we’ve been speculated on for a very long time. We’ve always believed that we’re great friends and that’s still the case today.” When Karan Johar asked Tiger, “Are you single?” So the tiger replied, “Yes, I think so.”
AICWA has demanded from Maharashtra Chief Minister and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis that strict action should be taken against those responsible for the attacks. It has demanded accountability for the shooters who ordered the firing and their arrest, action against extortion networks, adequate security for film personalities and their families and repeated failures to prevent such attacks.
