New Delhi:

Diljit Dosanjh is all set to kick off his Aura India tour on October 30 in New Delhi. Ahead of the show, fake volunteer recruitment posts surfaced online and were responded to by Diljit, who urged fans to be vigilant and avoid sharing any information.

Several social media pages are reportedly asking people to sign up as volunteers for the event. After learning about these posts, Diljit clarified that his team was not looking for volunteers and had not asked anyone to register for the concert.

He urged fans to be vigilant and avoid sharing their names, phone numbers or other personal information with unknown pages. Singer also reminded people that personal data can be misused if it falls into the wrong hands.

On Instagram, Diljit Dusanjh said, “My team has been sending me various posts on many pages inviting people to register as volunteers. We are not asking anyone to register as a volunteer, so please do not share your personal information with anyone. When you share your information with any page, you should be aware that your information cannot be shared at all these days.”

“We are not recruiting volunteers and you should not share your details with anyone. These pages or companies collect your data and then sell it, this is a completely different business model. This was very important to mention, as many people can easily fall victim to such scams.”

Diljit Dosanjh has performed in Europe and America this year. The India season was to begin in Delhi on 30 October, followed by concerts in Indore on 15 November, Ahmedabad on 21 November, Mumbai on 27 November and Bengaluru on 29 November.

The Delhi Police has not given permission for his concert to be held on October 30 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi. Permission was reportedly denied citing security concerns.

Delhi Police has also registered a case against social media influencer Aamir Shoukin at Sadar Bazar Police Station. A case has been registered under sections 192, 196, 352 and 353 of the Indian Penal Code (BNS).
