The world’s first AI actress, Tilly Norwood, and her creator, Elin van der Velden, founder and CEO of Particle 6, participated in the NDTV World Summit 2026 held in New Delhi today. Eileen van der Velden said the AI ​​film industry would create more jobs rather than take them away, taking into account wider public opinion.
Weldon said this is a completely new effort and will democratize the process. Welden specifically argued for AI actors in an AI film, not AI actors in a human film.

Asked if this would pose a threat to the real human film industry, like what happened in China with the advent of microdrama, Weldon said, “Yes, it’s an emerging film industry. Aileen van der Velden, who is an actor, YouTuber and has run a production company for 12 years, insists that AI cannot replace a real human actor. But being an actor herself, she understands the need for an AI actor that can be used to tell stories that weren’t told the traditional way.
When asked about the impact of AI creations on the climate, Tilley said that AI creations are more sustainable than actual film locations because they contribute more carbon footprints to the world.
