Shah Rukh Khan may be the undisputed ‘king’ of Bollywood, but it’s his off-screen persona that often sets him apart.
Adding to the many stories about her kindness, actress Meeta Vashisht recalls a fatal incident from the sets of the film. from the heart, Released in 1998.
In an interview with screenMita recalled how warmly he greeted her when they were reunited from the heart. Both have previously worked together in Money Calls stupid (1992).
Meeta said that despite becoming a big star by the time they worked together again, Shah Rukh remained affectionate and looked out for her throughout the shoot.

Recalling the terrifying incident, Meeta talked about a scene in which she was carrying an AK-47 and Shah Rukh Khan had to cross a stretch while blindfolded. The scene was being prepared in Dalhousie, where the crew was shooting in extreme cold.
“Yes, I was carrying an AK-47 and crossing him blindfolded. When we were preparing for the shot, I was behind and Shah Rukh was ahead of me in line. We were shooting in Dalhousie, and it was cold. The shoes we were given had plastic soles and we couldn’t feel our feet properly. Go back.” So I went back very slowly, taking small steps. But at one point, I suddenly found myself looking up at the sky and felt like I was falling. I actually reached the edge of a steep hill and was about to fall,” she said.
He added, “But Shah Rukh’s reflexes were extraordinary. In a second, he grabbed the front of my jacket and pulled me back. One moment, I was falling backwards with an AK-47, and the next, his hand was grabbing my jacket and pulling me to safety.”
He actually saved my life that day. With the weight of the gun and the steep slope, I could fall all the way down, with nothing to stop me. I don’t know what could have happened, but I truly believe her quick reaction prevented something terrible. How careful and protective he was of me. Overall, I have always cared a lot about Shah Rukh as a person.

The actress also shared another incident from the shoot of an intense fight sequence between her character and Shah Rukh. The six-minute sequence, which was eventually cut from the film, involved some physically demanding action.
“As part of the fight, I had to kill Shahrukh [Khan] On the head with a small stone as a last resort. But the stone slipped from my hand. Instead of a flick of my fingers, it slipped through them and left a small cut on his head. While everyone else was scared and quite angry, Shah Rukh was very lovable,” he added.
