Hema Malini’s elder daughter and actress Esha Deol attended the Diwali party with ex-husband Bharat Takhtani on Saturday. The former couple posed for the shutterbugs together before heading to the venue. Dressed in a pastel-pink saree, Esha Deol looked festively ready. Bharat Takhtani chose a beige color Bandgala for the occasion. After their divorce in 2024, Isha and Bharat maintained a public relationship. Earlier on Diwali they were seen together on several other occasions.

Earlier this year, Bharat joined Esha and her friends for Sunday lunch. Esha’s close friend Smriti Khanna shared the inside picture and wrote, “Fun afternoon and top class chat. Thanks, Esha.” He mentioned that he missed friends Rakul Preet Singh, Zayed Khan and Malaika Khan at the gathering.

Esha Deol, Jackie Bhagnani, fitness coach Satya, Bharat Takhtani and Smriti Khanna’s actor-husband Gautam Gupta are tagged in the post. The friends were seen at their best, relaxed and laid back with good vibes.

Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani called it quits on 7 February 2024 after 12 years of marriage. “We have mutually and amicably decided to separate. Through this transition in our lives, the best interests and welfare of our two children is and will be of the utmost importance to us. We would appreciate that our privacy is respected at all times,” their statement read.

During an interview with The Quint, Esha Deol said that she has always ensured that the changing equation between husband and wife does not affect the welfare of their children.

Isha also emphasized that parents need to present themselves as a “unit” for the sake of their children.

“For your children, you have to be a unit. That unit can’t be broken. Maybe the other unit is broken but for your children, be that unit. I think it’s very difficult for a lot of people but if you try, I think, keep trying. Don’t give up,” she said.

Isha and Bharat are parents to two daughters, Radhya and Meera. While Radhya was born in 2017, they welcomed Mirya in 2019.
