Ekam, The Kannada web series produced by actor-filmmaker Rakshit Shetty’s production houses Paramavah Studios and Journeyman Productions has finalised its premiere date. The project, which began in 2020, will stream on Rakshith’s own platform www.ekamtheseries.com.
Produced by Sandeep P.S. and Sumanth Bhat, the web series is an anthology of seven stories and features popular actors like Prakash Raj and Raj B. Shetty. Ekam It will premiere on July 13.
“We have faced rejection on all OTT platforms because Ekam “It’s a Kannada show and they are not in the market for Kannada shows right now,” said Sumanth Bhat. “We will bring you the web series at the price of a movie ticket (one-time fee of Rs 149),” he added.

Sumanth said, “We want to present stories from the grassroots level and take those stories to people across the world.” Talking about the web series, Rakshit Shetty said in a statement, “I have seen the final cut of it. Ekam in October, 2021. I was thrilled to see it come alive. It is a unique effort.” Those interested in watching the web series can register by logging on to ekamtheseries.com.
