Actress Kritika Kamra has hit back at X after she claimed her true voice was ‘censored’ on Instagram because she supported the CJP’s protest over the resignation of Chief Electoral Officer Gyanesh Kumar. She said she felt hopeful again because she could express her opinion on X.
“Go back to this hell of a platform to amplify true voices because Instagram is censoring me and because I feel hope again. We, the people, are in this together. To everyone fighting the good fight for our rights and our constitution, I salute you and I am deeply grateful,” she said in an X post.
She later shared, “All the self-proclaimed gnostics and gnostics trying to add to the field with their petty snobbery, sit down. I’m not new here.”

The reaction of the Internet
Kritika’s post has invited a lot of reactions on X.
One user wrote, “The need of the hour is to amplify voices on Instagram. Regardless of censorship, stay active, keep reposting, and make sure every voice that speaks out against injustice is heard. Don’t let them silence us.”
Another user wrote, “Rights and the constitution only belong to you people, not the rest of us who truly support an elected government and want what’s best for this country. We elected our leader by a majority. This is a paid tweet by someone who doesn’t understand the original constitution.”
While a section of the internet applauded his stance, another section questioned his claim.
“If Instagram was bad for you, X would be the worst. People research first and opine later,” wrote one.

Kritika has several projects lined up. The actor is all set to headline an upcoming drama ‘Clammed Dumbbell’ directed by Pushan Mukherjee, who has earlier worked as a writer on the Kunal Khemu-starrer ‘Abhay’.
The film is expected to explore a different space for Kritika, though its story details are under wraps.
Filming was reported to begin in June. Kritika is also set to play the role of Gulrukh in the second season of ‘Matka King’. In the series, she plays a rich woman from South Bombay whose affair with Brij Bhatti, portrayed by Vijay Varma, drags her into the world of matka gambling.
Talking to Mid-Day about the character, Kritika explained why she is drawn to women who are layered and hard to categorize. This is something I recognize in Gulrukh as well. She has vulnerability, ambition, intelligence.”
