Anjali Anand, who debuted in Bollywood with Karan Johar’s film Rocky and Rani Ki love storyBecame a household name after the film. AnjaliThe actress, who plays Parro in the comedy film, also revealed her mother’s hilarious reaction to the film. According to the actor, his mother was not particularly impressed with the film and felt that Dhamaal 4 was a “one-time watch”.
Farah turns to her mother and asks if she has seen the movie and enjoyed it. Recalling their conversation, Anjali said that she later asked her mother, “Mom, what other picture? (Mom, how did you like the movie?)” of his mother Everyone laughed in response as he simply said, “ok (It is good), a one-time watch.”
Anjali then decided to ask her mother more important questions, “How are you, daughter? (How do you like your daughter?) ” Her mother, however, remained unfazed and gave a simple reply, “Hmm, that’s right (It’s okay),” leaving everyone laughing.
Anjali’s journey Rocky and Rani Ki love story Wasn’t an easy one. Before taking on the Karan Johar directorial, the actor went through a challenging phase in 2020, which he described as the “lowest point” of his life. With acting opportunities dwindling, Anjali reached a point where she considered leaving India in search of better opportunities.
“The lockdown is over, the money is also gone… the amount saved in 6 months. (Lockdown happened, I ran out of money… six months of my savings were completely spent),” said Anjali.
Eventually she went to Goa with her friends, where she got a call from casting director Shanu Sharma. The call turned out to be an opportunity to audition for Karan Johar’s film.
Initially, it was difficult for Anjali’s mother to believe that she could get the opportunity as she had no connections in the industry. “There is no back, there is no recognition… (We had no contact or support in the industry),” Anjali’s mother told Farah. Anjali then remembered her mother telling her, “‘Baadi Ae’ is going to meet Karan Johar. Why do you get it? (Oh, so you’re going to meet Karan Johar? Why would he meet you).
Anjali finally got the role, which became a major turning point in her career.
