Panchayat Actor Asif Khan has once again come to the center of controversies during his tenure Bigg Boss 20. After facing criticism from Salman Khan over his aggressive behavior in the house, Asif has now reacted for his comments about mustaches and masculinity.
During a function, he said that men without mustaches are not considered “real men” in Rajasthan. The comment drew criticism online, with some viewers calling it a “socially backward” mentality.
What did Asif Khan say?
On the latest episode of Bigg Boss 20Yung DSA’s team (ScoutOP, Aasif Khan, Love Gill, Amrapali Dube, Rhiti Tiwari and Mary Kom) won the diss battle competition and became contenders for the captaincy.
Big Boss Then presented another task in which the rest of the housemates had to reject the contestant they didn’t want to be the captain.
During the task, Gullu puts a rejected stamp on Yung DSA’s face and explains that he feels that Yung believes he is running the whole house. He also pointed out that Yung was shaping everyone’s mustache in a similar way in his group, suggesting that he expected others to follow his preferences.
Asif later defended Yung over the mustache issue. “We come from Rajasthan, that’s what defines us, and we don’t think of most of the world as men,” he said. (We are from Rajasthan. This mustache is our identity, and we don’t consider men without mustaches as real men).
The housemates disagree with her comments
Yung supported Asif’s stance, but Gullu and Aman Gandhi disagreed with his comments. Gullu said that many men, including those associated with the show, do not have moustaches.
“A lot of people don’t have moustaches.
Mahi Vij also criticized Asif’s comment saying that being a “real man” does not mean a moustache. He added, “He said that’s how real men are, real men aren’t like that at all. Real men keep their families together, instead of being aggressive like him.”

Asif’s comments also drew reactions from viewers on social media. Users criticized the actor for his comments on masculinity.
