'Dhurandhar It has changed how audiences watch spy films,' says Nimrat Kaur

Nimrat Kaur has credited the Ranveer Singh starrer film Dhurandhar Bollywood is changing the way spy movies are watched. The actor said Aditya Dhar’s film has “raised the bar” for the genre.

Nimrat gave this answer while talking to ANI Dhurandhar Shows how strongly audiences connect with a film when its story and world feel believable. According to him, once audiences have seen a detective story told with this level of authenticity, they are likely to expect the same from such films in the future.

“When something is done so well that people get a taste of how authentic something like that can look. So obviously now everything when the bar is raised, which I believe every time a film comes our way where you’re like, oh, it’s the same story, but told in a way that we’ve been waiting for. The concept,” Nimrat Kaur explained. ANI.

For actors, Dhurandhar Beyond being just another film in the spy genre. He said that the way the story is presented has given the film authenticity.

“When a story is told to that, I think more likely, in the most authentic way, to the world that you’re trying to project and show, it no longer becomes, ‘Just another spy movie.’ Then it’s like, oh, wow, Dhurandhar“, he added.

His comment came after Ranveer Singh’s strong reaction Dhurandhar and following this, Dhurandhar: Revenge.

The first film was released in December 2025, while the second installment hit theaters in March this year. With Ranveer leading the pack, the project starred Rakesh Bedi, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Akshay Khanna and Sanjay Dutt.
