Riti said she was around 16 or 17 at the time and understood that her father was finding it difficult to raise the subject with her.

Riti said she knew it would be difficult for her father to take a decision on his own, so she called him and told him what to do.

“So I told him because he would never be able to do it on his own. You know, he won’t be strong enough to make that decision. So I called him and said, ‘Hi dad, please get married.‘”
