With his trademark voice, screen presence and larger-than-life action, the superstar is back to doing what he does best. Jailer 2. The film was released on October 15.
While Rajinikanth fans are celebrating the return of their favorite star, the film has left some Mohanlal fans wanting more.
Malayalam actor Aryan has now shared his review of Nelson Dilipkumar’s action sequel.
He said Jailer 2 As a Rajinikanth fan he was happy but as a Mohanlal fan he was heartbroken. He was disappointed to see the Malayalam superstar’s limited screen time.
“Being a Rajinikanth fan, I was blown away by it Jailer 2 As a happy Nelson fan, I was very satisfied. But the Mohanlal fan in me walked out with a broken heart,” he said.
He added, “What I loved the most Jailer 1 Nelson lends his powerful screen presence to Mohanlal, Shivana and Jackie Shroff alongside Rajinikanth. In Thalaivar’s film as well, each of them had their wonderful mass moments. This time, he felt off balance, the spotlight tilted a little too much on Rajini alone. He also wrote, “Nelson bro…couldn’t you have at least kept those lalaton shots from the trailer?!”
In the film, Mohanlal reprises his role as Mathew, a flamboyant underworld figure. Her limited screen presence in the sequel has disappointed many fans.
Aryan praised the first half of Jailor 2, criticized the second half
On Instagram, Aryan praised the first half of the film but said that the second half did not live up to his expectations.
“Coming into the movie, the first half was great! It was so good that I expected the second half to take things to a whole new level. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to those expectations. Still, a thoroughly entertaining experience, though not as satisfying as the first Jailer. Sooraj Eton was amazing. And he was a newcomer.
“Definitely a movie worth watching! But my dear fellow Laleton fans, better let go of your expectations before you hit the theatre! Still a Nelson fan, still a Rajini fan. But Annaikum Annaikum (forever), a Laleton fan,” he concluded.
During this time Jailer 2 has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark at the box office (worldwide).
