IPL founder Lalit Modi’s life may soon come on the big screen. Reports suggest that filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala will produce the project under his banner, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
The film is currently in the writing and development stage. Details about the cast, director and release date are yet to be announced.

The story is expected to cover both his personal journey and professional career, offering a comprehensive look at the man behind one of the biggest sports leagues in Indian cricket.
Sources quoted by the publication said that the team is taking its time to develop the script and ensure that Lalit Modi’s journey is depicted in depth before the project goes into production.
Writer and producer Sneha Rajini is reportedly involved in producing the biopic. Interestingly, when Lalit Modi first confirmed that a film based on his life was in the works, Rajini was leading the team behind the project. Her continued involvement suggests that she has been involved with the biopic since its early stages.

A few years ago, Ranveer Singh expressed his interest in playing the role of Lalit Modi in a biopic during a visit to London. It is not clear if Ranveer is the actor who has been finalized for the role.
In an interview with ANILalit said, “A biopic is in the works. The script is in progress now. I have already given hundreds of interviews. I have a whole team led by Sneha Rajini, who used to run Sony… but they are now scripting the story. Ranveer wants to play my role.”
“He came and saw me. I want him to play. But if he has time, now he is so big. I didn’t know Ranveer. I knew Deepika very well. I never met Ranveer. One day I got a call that Ranveer wants to meet you. And he came to London to meet me a few years ago, two years ago.”
