About Vijay Deverakonda’s post
The actor shared a picture and a video with Rashmika on Instagram, along with a strongly worded message addressing those who commented on their relationship.
“My best friend, my wife, my woman. One of the most beautiful parts of my life that I got right. To all concerned, we are both incredibly happy. I am blessed,” he wrote.
Vijay made it clear that he was unfazed by the criticism, “If it’s me and him against the world – so be it. Much love to those who celebrate the simplicity of living with love and happiness.”
He ended his post with a scathing reply to those who continued to criticize him, writing, “Now, without any intention of kindness or respect, everyone else can go off on their own. :)) Devarakonda Vijay Sai.”
Vijay’s statement comes soon after Rashmika addressed online criticism in a lengthy Instagram post.
Rashmika Mandana shared the statement
Reacting to the online comments, Rashmika shared a lengthy statement on Instagram.
“My dear people of the internet, to all those who love deeply and to those who are permanently bitter. My 2 cents on this whole issue regarding me and Viju.”
She explained that she doesn’t usually respond to online criticism because she believes everyone is entitled to their own opinions. However, he felt that the reaction to his interview went beyond people expressing their views.
“I don’t usually address these things because everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Sometimes, I even enjoy reading them and getting a different perspective. But the current obsession with our interviews feels less like people having opinions and more like an angry mob looking for someone to take out.”
Rashmika added that the discussion did not focus on what the couple was trying to convey.
“Somewhere along the way, the whole point got lost. Maybe it doesn’t fit your lens. Maybe some of you don’t want to see it. I’m writing this because I want to protect people who believe in love, and I hope everyone finds their own version of it.”
The actor also spoke about the amount of comments and unwanted advice that he and Vijay received on their social media profiles. He admitted that the magnitude of the reaction surprised him.
“All of our and mine and your profiles have been bombarded with unsolicited comments, comments and unsolicited advice. The faith with which people came at us shook me a little. I was like, FK what’s going on?”
Rashmika Mandanna on Vijay Deverakonda is taking time to decide on marriage
During their appearance on Koffee With Karan Season 9, host Karan Johar asked the couple about who proposed. Rashmika revealed that she first brought up the topic of marriage when they were sitting at the airport, telling Vijay that they should get married.
However Vijay tells her to ask him “100 times” before she agrees. Rashmika later clarified that she had broached the subject repeatedly for a full year before deciding to get married in February 2026.
Addressing the discussion, Rashmika said that people have misunderstood the point of her conversation. She explained that it was never about how many times she asked or how long Vijay took to make a decision.
“So I took a step back, thought about it, and took my own life here. First, it was never about the numbers or the whole year. That’s where some of you get stuck. Yes, those conversations happened. But neither of us was looking for a grand proposal. The conversation was about us both taking the time and space to understand each other, to make sure that despite all this stress and low life, to make sure that it’s all stress and less. C. What we wanted and the right time for it.”
She said that she and Vijay finally made the decision together and their different approaches to life complement each other.
“And we did. We chose each other. It’s okay that I knew exactly what I wanted. And it was just as well that he wanted time to think and be sure about the practical things in life. It didn’t change our love in any way. I’m sincere and he’s thoughtful—and we need that in each other’s lives.”
Rashmika also revealed that marriage, for her, was much more than a proposal or a ring. It was about building a future together.
“For us, marriage was never about a proposal, getting down on one knee or putting a ring on a finger. It’s the decorative part. For us, it was about building a life and a future together. And I think we’ve done that beautifully so far. Find someone you’ll go to any lengths for,
Someone who will do the same for you. And yes, I am surrounded by my man. When did it become a bad thing?”
The actor further explained why it was important for her to be deeply in love with her husband, saying that she saw him as her lifelong partner.
“If I’m not in love with the man I’m marrying, why would I marry him? He’ll be my partner for life. My friend on ordinary days and extraordinary days. The father of my children. The man I grow old with.”
She also shared her thoughts on what she believes a loving marriage should look like.
“Find a man who loves you so much that even after you’re married, you’ll want to say to him, ‘Let’s get married.’ I would do it a thousand times – 100 is nothing. It really is that simple. And for those who seem completely blinded by their own narrative.”
Rashmika insisted that both she and Vijay had built their lives independently and had the freedom to decide who they wanted to spend their lives with.
“We both built our lives on our own terms, with our own choices and our own hard work. We are smart, capable adults, blessed with the freedom and privilege to choose how we want to live and who we want to share our lives with. And we chose America.”
Reaffirming her commitment to Vijay, she says that their relationship does not need to match anyone else’s idea of love.
“We’ll keep choosing each other, over and over, until the end. If our love doesn’t fit your fantasy of what love should be, that’s okay, no? You live that beautiful fantasy in your life.”
I will be happy for every happy person out there. This is the minimum we should all strive for. And to some of my lovely girls there … who reel under the guise of a fellow woman’s concern, telling me to run away, giving me free relationship advice to protect me.”
Rashmika Mandana says that Vijay Deverakonda was with her during difficult times
Rashmika also responded to those who gave her relationship advice on the pretext of finding her. She thanked them but said that some of them were not there when she was going through a difficult period in her life.
“Thank you. Really. But I wish some of you were there a few years ago, when things were really, really hard. You weren’t there. He was and he is. Right now, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. And I hope you can see it in my face, in the happiness I’ve felt since I got married, in my film, in my performance, I’m happy in my life and I’m happy in my life. I’m content.
The actor added that he felt disturbed that people were choosing to believe online narratives and misleading edits instead of listening to his own relationship narrative.
“And the fact that some people would believe what I say about my life, rather than believe the random narratives, misguided edits and outright lies made up on the internet, is honestly a little scary. When I break a bone, you’re not there. That’s it. When I get a stomach ache every month, you’re not there. It’s there.”
She described the support she received from Vijay, saying that he was there for her when she needed comfort, advice and protection.
“And when I feel down, I need advice, I need protection, I need comfort, I need support – you’re not there or haven’t been. He has. Someone who roots for you, loves you, protects you, cares for you, celebrates your every victory – that’s the love I want – and I have it. So please, don’t worry about me or him. Find that I love you and pray that I love you. If you don’t want it, I will be happy for you.
Rashmika Mandana on criticism of her family
At the end of her statement, Rashmika addressed the comments about her family, saying that criticism of her personal life should not be directed at people who are not part of the conversation.
“And one more thing. Bitch all you want about me. I can take it. But talking about your family without them knowing? That’s not feminism. That’s bullying dressed up as feminism. Feminism has never been about putting anyone down or establishing superiority, whether you’re a man or a woman. It’s always been about freedom of choice.
Your own life and taking charge of it.”
He added that he had made his choice and was happy with the life he had built.
“I have taken my charge. And it has given me so much love. And to some of my Kannadiga friends… Ah, how lovely to know that even after 10 years I am so deeply etched in your hearts. For you to celebrate me even after all this time… Truly, I am blessed! I am blessed! To celebrate all the love and happiness you get… And please love all those who make you happy..”
