Mohini Day will perform at the NDTV World Summit in New Delhi on October 22 and 23. The bass player will perform as part of the opening act on October 22.

Mohini Dey was born and brought up in Mumbai. Day got her first bass guitar when she was nine years old. He started performing at the age of 11. His talent was noticed by his father’s friend Ranjit Barot, who took him on tour with his band. He was also mentored by jazz exponent Louis Banks.

When Day was born, his parents were struggling to make ends meet. His father worked as a session musician. Before his daughter turned three, her father began to nurture her talent.

Day released his self-titled debut album in August 2023.

She and her ex-husband, Mark Hartsch, both play in the band Mamoji with drummer Gino Banks. He has worked with Steve Vai, Marco Minnemann, Dream Theater’s Jordan Rudes, Jason Richardson, Deva Budjana, Zakir Hussain, Sivamani, A.R. Has collaborated with Rahman, Greg Howe and Willow Smith.

In 2024, he was invited to join Smith’s new band. She is part of Gaan Bangla’s Wind of Change and Coke Studio India and also plays for AR Rahman.
