the story of Hanuman Part Nim has found an emotional connection with Karoli Baba’s family. Producer Ragini Sona has revealed that Baba’s daughter Girija ji, also known as Amma ji, has watched the film around 15 times since its release and cried every time.
In an interview with screenRagini spoke about her meeting with Amma ji before the film’s release and recalled the experience that left a lasting impression on her. According to the producer, he and director Vishal Chaturvedi had arrived to seek Baba’s daughter’s blessings for the film.
Ragini told that during the phone conversation with herself, Vishal and Amma ji, they asked if she wanted to see? Hanuman Part. Ammaji replied, “Yes, I will watch the movie when I feel the time is right.”
She finally watched the movie, and, as Ragini remembers, she has now watched it about 15 times. “To date, Baba’s daughter has seen the film about 15 times, and she has cried every time.”
The producer also shared a personal detail that came up during their conversation. Amma ji asks Ragini and Vishal what inspired them to make the film. Ragini talks about meeting Neem Karoli Baba when she was six years old, while Vishal discusses his research and what led him to this project.
Ragini then told that her father was posted in Nainital. What happened next, he said, was something that was difficult to explain.
“I said, ‘Ammaji, my father was posted in Nainital.’ No one would believe this, but since Vishal was present at the time, he is a witness to this miracle. Amma ji immediately took my father’s name, shared the exact location of my father’s house in Agra, and this is some 50 years old news. Amma ji said that she could see everything in front of her eyes in real time. He also took my elder brother’s name. I can’t think of a bigger miracle.”
Ragini said that this moment made her emotional. “I was crying and asked him, ‘How do you know all this?’ To which Amma Ji replied, ‘I have no answer to your question, but I can see everything.’ After all, she is Baba Ji’s daughter, and after this experience, I felt confident that I was chosen by Baba Ji to be a part of this greatness.
Hanuman PartDirected by Vishal Chaturvedi, released on August 7 and has crossed Rs 300 crore worldwide. The film stars Shobhinav Sathya Neem as Karoli Baba and Chandan K Anand as Ram Nandan Bhosle. Nikhil Dubey, Anil Rastogi, Sugandha Malhotra, Bhagwandas Patel and Neha Paranjape are also part of the cast.
