Nani’s much awaited movie paradise Hits theaters on September 24. Directed by Srikanth Odela, the film has already given mixed reactions to X.
A viewer called out paradise A “raw and intense theatrical experience” and praised the film’s world-building and Nani’s performance as Jadal.
The user wrote, “A raw and intense dramatic experience! The world-building is very strong, and the way the characters fight for their identity gives the film a unique feel. The action episodes are rock solid as @NameisNani JADAL. The intensity, body language and performances stand out. The mother-son emotions especially worked for me emotionally. Bang!”

However, another moviegoer had a very different take on the film. Calling it “an endurance testing artificial mass film”, the user felt that only the opening segments and interval blocks worked.
The review wrote, “#paradise An endurance testing artificial mass film! An interesting start and decent interlude are about the only parts that work in the first half. The second half is even worse with stupid writing, tedious narration, and barely any emotional connection. There are moments that show some promise in the film, but everything from the staging and performances to the action feels artificial, while weak editing and abrupt cuts make it more chaotic.”
The same viewer also criticized the music and voice mix, while praising Nani’s effort, despite feeling that the actor did not suit the world created in the film.
The user wrote, “Apart from the songs, Anirudh’s BGM is surprisingly weak, and the poor sound mix makes things worse with excessive volume and dialogues that are difficult to follow at times. Odela completely hampers the writing and execution, wasting a golden opportunity. A completely forgettable film in this poorly sketched world and Nani’s weakest film.”

Another viewer compared the film to Nani and Srikanth Odela’s previous collaboration Dasara. The reviewer wrote, “3 years ago #Dusara was a disappointment. I thought I’d learned my lesson. Today, I went to #paradise Thinking, “Surely it can’t be that bad.” I simply refuse to learn.”

Criticism of the second half was echoed by another viewer, who wrote, “#paradise – The first half was at least passable but the second half was completely flat and traveled elsewhere throughout the film!! Even Anirudh’s backstory in the second half didn’t work.”

Nani’s mass avatar also came under scrutiny in some reactions.

At the same time, not all reactions were negative. A viewer praised the film’s mass appeal and urged viewers to watch it without thinking.
The review reads, “Grandma’s greatest movie ever. Don’t think about logic, just enjoy the magic.”
Set in Secunderabad in the 1980s, paradise Centers on Jadal, played by Nani, and her fight against social discrimination and a system that has denied her community basic rights. The film combines its period setting with action and drama.
This film is the second collaboration between Nani and Srikanth Odela DasaraWhich was released in 2023. Produced by SLV Cinemas, it also stars Mohan Babu, Kayadu Lohar, Sonali Kulkarni, and Raghav Jual.
