According to the news agency, producer Vashu Bhagnani has been admitted to a hospital in London. ANI The reason for his hospitalization is yet to be revealed.

The incident came to light after the Income Tax Department conducted raids on September 28 at several locations associated with Bollywood actress Rakul Preet Singh, her father-in-law and filmmaker Vashu Bhagnani and Panorama Studios in Mumbai.

The Mumbai Income Tax Department has launched searches at 12 locations for suspected fund irregularities. Investigators believe the funds are allegedly being sent overseas under the guise of financing film projects.

Several teams of the Mumbai Income Tax Department are currently verifying documents, financial records and details of alleged foreign transactions.

In December last year, the Mumbai police started searching for Rakul Preet Singh’s brother Aman Preet Singh in a drug case.

In an operation by the Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (Eagle) Force and the West Zone Police here on December 19, 2025, two businessmen were arrested for allegedly smuggling drugs and 43 grams of cocaine and 11.5 grams of MDMA were seized from them. Aman suspected that he had bought drugs five times from two smugglers.

Bhagnani is a well-known name in the Hindi film industry. He founded Pooja Entertainment in 1995 and made his debut as a producer with the Govinda-starrer Kuli No. 1 released the same year.

He has produced several successful films over the years, including Hero No. 1, Biwi No. 1, Pyaar Mee Deena and Mere Dil Mein Pyaar Deena.

Under Pooja Entertainment, Bhagnani endorsed films like Sarabjit, Bell Bottom and the 2024 action film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff.
