Ranveer Shorey has received death threats after criticizing the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) road protest.
The actor shared screenshots of the threatening emails on X and contacted the cyber police and Mumbai police.
An email was sent by someone using the name Raj Parihar. The sender used profanity and claimed to be tracking Shorey’s location and movements. The email also warned that the actor would be attacked when the time was right.
After receiving the threats, Shorey tagged Cyber Dost and Maharashtra Cyber and asked them to investigate the matter.
“Hello @Cyberdost @MahaCyber1. Please note the following threats I received from these 2 email accounts. Thanks,” he wrote.
The Mumbai Police responded to her post, asking her to share her contact details through a direct message. “We have tracked you down. Please share your contact details in a DM,” the police wrote.
Shourie thanked the police for their quick response and also filed an official complaint.

The threats came after Shorey criticized the CJP’s opposition in a post
“Show your numbers in Parliament and at the ballot, not in the streets! And if they find the way unfair, show them to the courts!”
This is the democratic way! Hijacking roads and holding public infrastructure and law and order machinery to ransom is the real “Murder of Democracy”!

On October 10, the CJP protested at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The party has called for protests over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists.
In Mumbai, actor Imran Khan was among those detained at August Kranti Maidan.
