of Mathimaran slowness, Starring Suri and Mahima Nambiar, released in theaters on September 10. The film has enjoyed a phenomenal run at the box office, grossing over Rs 100 crore worldwide. However, at the film’s success event recently, director Mathimaran revealed how Mahima Nambiar met with a brutal accident a few days before the film’s shoot.
He said, “I saw in two interviews where you mentioned crying after performing. Thank you so much for the effort you put into the film. I don’t think many people know about his accident. About five days before the shooting of this song, he had a major accident. His face fell completely and was injured, requiring more than 20 stitches.”
Recalling how Mahima even sent him a selfie after the accident, the filmmaker added, “Still I shamelessly asked if she could come to the shoot. I had no choice. She returned to the set on the sixth day after her plastic surgery. Her hard work and dedication is behind our success. I will never forget it.”

He wrote, “I still remember calling my folks and breaking down after doing a few scenes. The emotional baggage this character carried felt overwhelming for a few days, yet, I enjoyed every bit of it. Months in the same place, in the same house, surrounded by the same people… and after a point, Thondi felt like home, and the people there felt like family.”
She added, “I will always be grateful @mathimaaran For trusting me with Angel, and sitting with me, scene after scene, and patiently working through every emotion.”

NDTV’s review for Mandadi reads, “Mahima Nambiar has a pivotal role with a strong character, and she provides important emotional connections between the various characters in this film. Veteran actor Sathyaraj adds weight to the action as Muni, while Mithun Jai Shankar impresses as Mari, the catalyst for the whole process.”
Retardation A Suri film all the way, and he really shines in this coastal sports drama, making it a very interesting watch.
