Shreya Priyam Roy, stand-up comedian, author, mural artist, and history scholar, wears many hats when it comes to the creative field. The 26-year-old enjoys 697K followers on Instagram. With a sharp focus on her comedic material’s observational humor, personal life stories, and social commentary, she can turn everyday mundane matters into relatable jokes that instantly lead to a laugh riot.
She is all set to appear in NDTV Yuva 2026, as she joins the panel titled Sorry for my taste!!!Along with fellow comedians Ronk Rajani, Kenny Sebastian, and Warren Viegas, CEO of LVC Comedy.
the beginning
The year 2019 marked the beginning of his comedy career, when he was in Sri Venkateswara College (Delhi University). There he graduated with a degree in History Hons.
But it was through college gatherings and YouTube videos, local open mics and comedy clubs across Delhi that his passion for stand-up comedy began to simmer, until it finally blossomed.
Success and career milestones
Amazon Prime Videos comicston Season 3 was the first career milestone that catapulted him into the limelight. She reached the final round, which catapulted her popularity to the national level. It always helped him hone his skills in genre-focused writing under the mentorship of established Indian comedians.
Then came Premium opinions. He began touring with this solo stand-up special, and had a sea of audiences in packed theaters.
Not only are his jokes on everyday life funny, but it’s his Hinglish delivery that makes them even deeper and more relatable.
Having grown up in Patna, Bihar, she draws inspiration from her upbringing in Patna, middle-class family dynamics, and inflexible gender stereotypes, to name a few of her main themes.
Interestingly, she has also worked as a mural artist and production designer.
Latest work
As for her latest acts, Shreya Priyam Roy is currently touring a multitude of private shows, corporate events, and comedy festivals across India. As mentioned earlier, his online community is rock-solid.
