with a degree in Fashion Communication from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Mirzapur Celebrity Shweta Tripathi never planned for a career in showbiz – but it happened. He is currently basking in massive success Mirzapur: FilmA big-screen adaptation of the hugely successful series.
She is all set to appear in NDTV Yuva 2026, as she joins the panel titled Women of MirzapurAlong with Sonal Chauhan, who is also earning accolades for her performance in the film.
Where he started
After completing her degree in Fashion Communication, Shweta Tripathi went on to wear many hats in the creative field. She worked as a production assistant, associate director and photo editor for Femina magazine. At the same time, he runs his own theater company, AllMyTea Productions (also known as All My Tea Productions).
And then came her screen debut – and never looked back.
Onscreen project and success
She made her screen debut with the Disney Channel sitcom Teen What is the point of life? (2009), followed by a cameo Karan and Kabir’s suite life (2012).

Her big breakthrough came with Neeraj Ghewan’s 2015 film Masanwhere she gained wide recognition and popularity as a lead actress opposite Vicky Kaushal, who also made her debut with the film.
He left an impressive impression with his powerful performance in the 2017 film Haram eater With Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
A journey of years
Over the years, Shweta Tripathi spread her wings as her work spanned platforms and languages.
Some of his other known projects include the zoo (2018), cash gone (2019), Mehndi Circus (2019, Tamil), Illegal (2021), and The night is lonely (2020).
His OTT titles include TVF tripling (2016), One in Lakhon (2017), Made in heaven (2019), Gone Game (2020-2022), Skype live (2022), and Ye Kali Kali Ankhin (2022-2024).
Back in March 2025, he announced his first project as a producer – a quirky love story directed by Sanjoy Nag, titled. Don’t tell me my loveWhere she will be seen with Tilotma Shome. The release date is yet to be announced.
Current success
Shweta Tripathi is the most famous character in the movie Mirzapur The series stars Golu Gupta, whose transformation from an innocent college student to a fierce, gun-wielding warrior has become one of the show’s most talked-about arcs. His journey of grief, revenge, and resilience added great depth to this horrific world. Mirzapur. Recently, he repeated this role Mirzapur: The Movie, which has been a significant success at the box office, further cementing his place as one of the franchise’s most influential performers.
Earlier, during a conversation with Dr. NDTV Mirzapur movie Which was announced in 2024 but took two years to release, the actor said, “Everything good takes time. You enjoy drip coffee because it has a completely different taste. We wanted to be very specific about why we wanted to tell this story on the big screen. It’s a celebration of fans. It’s India’s first OTT-to-big undertaking and we take it very seriously. Respect our fans.”
He added, “I was very confused about playing this Golu because I had to go back to her early days. How she walks, talks, her expressions and everything because if we look at the series, she is a different person now after going through all the trauma. It was not like a magic wand that one can use.”
The actor has carved a niche for herself both in the OTT arena and the big screen, as she continues to write her own success story.
