Taapsee Pannu talks about some of the most unusual experiences she has had during her acting career. The actor recalled being turned into a film even after his dates were locked. Taapsee also shared that she was reportedly dropped from a film as the lead actor’s wife did not want her to be a part of the project.

talking with Nayandeep Rakshit, Taapsee recalls an incident where she was turned into a film even though she was already committed and her dates were turned off. She said, “I have been told that I have been replaced by the hero of the film. God knows the reason. I keep imagining the reasons. I can imagine the insecurity, I can imagine that he wanted someone else who he was close to. I can imagine many reasons, but I have not been told any concrete reason. I was only told that he did not want to have me in the film again.”

Taapsee further revealed what she considers to be the “worst reason” she was given for turning into a film. He said, “The worst reason when I was replaced was, ‘The hero’s wife doesn’t like you.’ Don’t know why she didn’t like me.” However, Taapsee chose not to reveal the identity of the actor or his wife.

Taapsee also looked back on her early years in the industry, admitting that she wasn’t always aware of when a scene was being shot in a way that could make it look sexier in the final edit. “You realize it only when you see the output. When you’re shooting, you don’t realize it’s going in that direction. I thought it would be very aesthetic and not draw much attention to it. When I saw it, I felt it was unnecessary,” he said.

The actor said that glamor does not have to be associated with sex. “You can be glamorous in a movie without being hypersexualized,” she said.

Taapsee Pannu was recently seen in the Netflix action-thriller Gandhari. Directed by Devashish Makhija, the film premiered on the streaming platform on 3 September.
