Actor Arden Cho has finally shared the good news he kept private for years. The Teen Wolf, Partner Track and Kpop Demon Hunters star married orthopedic surgeon Christopher Lee in a beautiful multi-day wedding ceremony in Florence, Italy over the weekend. Surrounded by their close family and friends, the couple celebrated their big day with a mix of Korean traditions, Italian romance and elegant fashion, giving fans their first real glimpse of the love story they quietly built away from the public eye.
A love story that took them to Florence
Arden Cho and Christopher Lee’s love story began the same way many modern romances do — through a dating app. After dating for several years, Christopher proposed in March 2025 during a trip to Maui. Sharing the good news on Instagram, she wrote, “He heals bones, I tell stories. He is the calmer to my chaos.”
When it came to planning their wedding, choosing Florence was an easy decision. Speaking to People, Cho said, “Italy is special to us, not only because of the food and the culture, but also because it’s where I decided was my person.” He added, “We wanted the weekend to feel like a beautiful holiday where everyone could relax, celebrate and make memories together.”
Korean traditions meet modern bridal fashion
According to Vogue magazine, Arden Cho made sure that whatever dress she wore during the wedding weekend would reflect both her personal style and her Korean roots. The ceremony began with a welcome party where she and Christopher Lee wore traditional Korean hanbok, which Mihee had redesigned with a modern twist.
For the welcome dinner, Arden wore a bright orange hanbok, a color associated with happiness and positive energy. During the traditional Pybek ceremony held in honor of the groom’s parents, she changed into a red skirt symbolizing good fortune and paired it with a green jacket, representing a long and harmonious marriage.
For the wedding ceremony at the historic Villa Cora, Arden walked down the aisle in a custom-made Vera Wang gown. Despite a Hollywood awards season that left little time for the design process, the costume was completed in just a few months. Christopher Lee wore a classic tuxedo for the occasion and the couple exchanged vows against the picturesque backdrop of Florence.
Unexpected obstacles before the big day
O wedding isn’t without some unexpected surprises, and Arden Cho and Christopher Lee’s big day was no exception. Just a few days before the ceremony, some of their essential items went missing during transportation, though thankfully everything arrived in time for the ceremony. He had shared several tweets regarding the lost items.
More stress occurs when Christopher Lee’s family faces flight delays and cancellations, causing the couple to worry that they may miss their wedding. Rather than let the celebration fade away, they decided to hold their paebaek, a traditional Korean wedding ritual that formally welcomes the bride to the groom’s family, at midnight as a quiet and intimate ceremony.
The weather added another challenge. Florence was subject to a level-3 red-alert heatwave on the day of the wedding, forcing planners to rethink the schedule. The outdoor ceremony was moved forward to later in the evening, while additional air conditioning was arranged throughout the venue to ensure guests remained comfortable.
work front
Arden Cho’s biggest project is starring as the voice of the fierce, heroic Rumi in the mega-hit animated feature Kpop Demon Hunters released on Netflix. She is currently producing a highly anticipated K-pop-themed psychological thriller titled Perfect Girl.
