Your Fault: London, the next installment in Amazon Prime Video’s British remake of the popular Spanish romantic franchise ‘My Fault’, has been released. Based on Spanish author Mercedes Ron’s best-selling romance novel trilogy, the story depicts the ‘forbidden love’ between step-siblings Noah and Nick. The franchise’s films were huge hits in the Spanish language, but this new British remake is proving to be a complete failure to please audiences and critics alike. Airing on Prime Video from June 17, 2026, there is neither old passion nor entertainment in the film.

What is the story of the film? (plot)

The story of the film continues from where the previous part ended. Now Noah (Asha Banks) and Nick (Matthew Broome) are totally in a relationship.

Relationship Suspense: Nick wants to keep this relationship a secret from his parents, who are recently married. She fears dire consequences if her domineering billionaire father (Ray Fearn) finds out about this stepsister’s romance.

Distance and new characters: Noah reluctantly agrees and goes to study at Oxford University. Into his life comes an intelligent student named Michael (Joel Nankervis), whom Noah refers to as “just a friend.”

Nick, on the other hand, has given up illegal drag-racing to help out in his father’s business, where he meets Sophia (Louisa Binder), a beautiful tech start-up founder whom he calls “just a friend.” This is where misunderstandings start in the relationship.

Review: Where did the movie go wrong? (Reviews and Drawbacks)

In films of this genre, audiences usually come to see two things – the high-class luxury lifestyle and the on-screen chemistry (sex and money). But ‘Your Fault: London’ proves to be very weak on both these fronts.

Lack of budget and poor lifestyle

In the film, the characters are shown to be very rich and billionaires, but the budget of the makers seems so low that this wealth is not visible on the screen. For example, when the billionaire’s son Nick throws a party in his hotel room after closing a huge business deal, the room looks more like a cheap ‘Best Western’ budget hotel than a luxurious five-star suite.

Cold chemistry and boring acting.

The facial expressions of the film’s lead actors appear frozen and shocked throughout the film. Looking at her, it looks as if she has been forcibly transported not to an acting set, but from a luxury vacation or holiday commercial shoot.

Weak screen presence: Nick and Noah are supposed to be so infatuated that they can’t stay away from each other, but the love making and sex scenes in the film are very tender and softcore-lite. They are choreographed in such a way that the attraction and longing between the characters does not reach the audience.

decision

If you’re a big fan of Mercedes Rohan’s books, you might want to give this one a try. But if you are expecting a great, intense and entertaining romantic-drama, ‘Your Fault: London’ will leave you completely disappointed. It would be better if you only watch the original Spanish version.

Our verdict: (1.5/5 stars)
