I have watched this movie and without any spoilers, I have mentioned the merits and demerits of this movie. Read it first and then decide whether you want to buy a ticket for this 2 hour 40 minute movie or not.
Features
1. The pairing of Akshay Kumar and Asrani
This is the last film of late actor Asrani. He has done a wonderful job in this film. Whenever she and Akshay Kumar come together on screen, you cannot control your laughter.
2. Rajpal Yadav and Akshay Kumar
After seeing the scenes of Akshay Kumar and Rajpal Yadav in the trailer and listening to the dialogues, some people were saying that Priyadarshan has made this film on the viral memes of these two. While some were saying that it is a copy of ‘Bhul Bhulaya’. But it is not like this. Both of them have done a wonderful job in the film. Although you must have seen the pair of these two on screen many times but like every time they have entertained you this time too.
3. Comedy
The first part of ‘Bhoot Bangla’ is very funny. The movie looks fun before the interval. Glimpses of Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar can be seen. The comic timing of Akshay Kumar, Asrani and Rajpal Yadav is on point.
Rating: I will give 3.5 rating to the first part of the movie.
Shortcomings
1. Casting
The casting of the film looks strange. I won’t reveal who played who, but when you watch the movie and you know who played Akshay Kumar’s parents, you will be shocked. You will not be able to digest that. Father-son relationship will not be seen.
2. Background music
Background music plays a very important role in horror comedy films. The background music makes you feel scared but ‘Bhoot Bangla’ lacked it. So this horror comedy film has comedy but not horror.
3. Stories and songs
The story of the film is not very strong. Especially the second part. The songs of the movie are also very boring. Whenever the songs come on it seems like there was a forward button too.
