KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav exchange cricket for Spidey conflict in Spider-Man: Brand New Day promo.

The entire promotional campaign takes inspiration from the story of the film, in which Peter Parker continues to save people as the superhero named Spider-Man even after losing his identity. In a unique video, both the cricketers show what this strange situation feels like and also why Spider-Man is special to them.

KL Rahul reflects on his lifelong love for Spider-Man

KL Rahul’s campaign video depicts a strange reality in which the cricketer knows that everyone knows his achievements, yet does not recognize him personally, which mirrors the emotional experience of Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Talking about his love for superheroes, KL Rahul said, “Like millions of Indians, I have grown up watching and admiring Spider-Man. I enjoyed watching his films not only because of the action and thrills, but also because of his ideals. ‘With great power comes great responsibility’ is a belief that has stayed with me through various phases of my life and is something I try to live by every day.”

He also talked about why he thought it was important for him to be a part of the campaign after being a father. He further added, “When Sony Pictures Entertainment India approached me to collaborate on Spider-Man: Brand New Day, it was an easy decision. It’s exciting to be associated with a character that has inspired generations around the world. Now, as a father, it feels even more special. I look forward to the day when my daughter is old enough that we can watch a Spider-Man film together. It will be amazing to introduce her to such a superhero.” “That meant a lot to my childhood and hopefully he will pass that legacy on to the next generation.”

Suryakumar Yadav steps into the world of Peter Parker!

Like KL Rahul’s campaign, Suryakumar Yadav has also joined hands with Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The video shows a world where everyone appreciates his performance in the cricket game, but does not know who he really is in his daily life. It’s an ode to Peter Parker’s awkward situation in the upcoming movie.

Suryakumar Yadav talking about connecting with Spider-Man said, “As a cricketer, every day is a new day. You can’t rely on what happened yesterday. You have to adapt, trust your instincts and be ready for the next challenge. That’s one of the things I love most about Spider-Man. No matter what he’s up against, he always finds the courage to stand back up and keep fighting. That mentality really Resonates with me because cricket pushes you to constantly evolve, surprise people and believe in yourself.”

He further added, “Like millions of fans, I have grown up watching Spider-Man and cheering him on through every challenge. It has been so much fun to be a part of the Spider-Man: Brand New Day campaign as it brings together two things I really love – cricket and Spider-Man. I can’t wait for fans to experience this adventure on the big screen, and I hope they enjoy this collaboration as much as I did.”
