‘Saira’ is a musical romantic film that has released in theaters today. There are no big faces in the film, two newcomers Ahan Pandey and Aneet Padda are seen in the lead roles and the story doesn’t look too new either. Still this movie keeps you engrossed. Why finally? Let’s find out.

The story of the film

The story revolves around Krish Kapoor, a struggling musician. He is constantly running to make his mark. Meanwhile, he meets Vani, a shy and reticent journalist. One day Krish comes across Vani’s diary and he turns the feelings written in the diary into songs. This song becomes a superhit and from here the love story of both begins. But as it happens in the movies, fate has other plans.

How much power is there in the story?

If we talk about the story, there is nothing new in ‘Saira’. We have seen such love stories before in films like ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’, ‘Aashiqui 2’ or ‘Ek Villain’. But what made the film special are its songs and the chemistry of the lead pair. By the time we reach the end of the film, our eyes are moist.

How is the acting?

This is Ahaan Pandey’s debut but he has put a lot of life into his character. Looking at his performance, it seems that he is ready to play different types of roles in the future. Aneet Padda has shown both simplicity and depth in the character of Vani. The onscreen chemistry of the two is the life of the film.

Songs are the strength of the film

The songs in ‘Saira’ are amazing and each song takes the story forward. The hallmark of director Mohit Suri’s films has always been his music albums and the same is the case with this film. It is said that Mohit works a lot on his songs before shooting and this time too it was seen.
