Mohit Malik’s appearance is in the form of Birju Mirzapur: Film has become one of the main talking points of the film. The actor has garnered attention for his intense action sequences. During an interview, Mohit talked about doing his own stunts, giving fans an intimate insight into his character’s preparation.
During the conversation with Free Press JournalThe actor talked about his preparation for Birju’s look and shared, “I discussed my body with my director Gurmeet Singh, and then I discussed it with my trainer. We decided to go for a very desi type of body. I also grew my beard because I wanted to give myself a different look, and Guru liked it too. And then we added some special things.”
Talking about shooting the action scenes, Mohit admitted that it was extremely challenging. “We were shooting in cold weather in Jaisalmer. And doing action on sand is very difficult. But we used to rehearse a day before, then go for the actual shoot. It looks easy, but it’s difficult. You couldn’t even walk properly on the sand,” he added, adding that he did all the action sequences himself. “I love doing action on my own. In fact, even in the film, no dope was used. I did almost all the stunts myself, and it was a great experience.”
Mohit further shared that he was very nervous and “intimidated” about entering Mirzapur Franchise. “I was intimidated by all of them because the characters are so big. They are the best actors in the industry, and it was a challenge to go among them and prove myself. But I think it was my dedication to the role that did it. I think at the end of the day you do your work with full commitment and sincerity, and you don’t really worry about anything.”
