In July this year, Tamil star Dhanush attended a blood donation and welfare event organized by his fan clubs. While this may not be anything new for the actor, what caught everyone’s attention was his speech about turning his fans’ solidarity into an organized welfare movement. After unveiling the official fan-club flag, Om The star told her fans, “So many people have come together in one place. There is great strength in that kind of unity. We need to give that unity a purpose. Understand the needs of the people in your area, the families around you and help them in whatever way you can. Help them in whatever way you can. I need to be more proud of you. I believe you will do it.” All this immediately led to speculations about a possible political entry into Tamil Nadu by Raina Star.
Now, Sivakarthikeyan has started similar speculations about a possible political entry. The organizers of the Sivakarthikeyan fan club held a meeting in Chennai on October 4 and the actor’s speech on that day has been the talk of the town on social media. The the almighty The star told the 2,000 fans gathered there, “Everyone is saying that I am self-made; certainly I am not self-made – I am ‘people made’. When I entered cinema in 2012, Vijay Sethupathi and I were just outsiders. 80% of the actors had questions about the background (how was the industry then). The anchor (me) could have become a hero but people never asked that question.”
The Amran The star talked about her criticism and criticism and told her fans, “There will always be people who judge us, question us, or have something to say about our actions. That’s okay. We don’t need to take their words to heart. When someone hurts us or treats us badly, let’s not waste our time. Whoever we are today, whatever we do, we can just smile, and keep moving forward.
Speaking about the day’s event, Sivakarthikeyan explained how they all came together under one roof not because of caste, religion or ethnicity, but simply because of love. But the Tamil star mentioned film legend and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MG Ramachandran during his speech, “Like Ratan Tata, Mother Teresa, Purachi Thalaivar MGR, and Purachi Kalaignar Vijayakanth – we keep talking about them because we don’t expect anything good in return because of the good things they have done. With these expectations we are not doing it to show that we are superior, To defy anyone, or to prove that we are the greatest.” The actor encouraged his fans to read at least 10 minutes a day, saying that reading books has helped him develop and grow.
One of the reasons the meeting triggered speculation about Star’s possible political entry was the scale of the meeting and the fact that the administrators came from across Tamil Nadu, including district, city, union and region-level representatives. Also, all those who attended the meeting wore white shirts which gave the impression of a political conference. Sivakarthikeyan also reiterated the fact that he was a star made by people and talked about having a purpose in life. Although he did not make any politically overt statements, the timing of the gathering – like Dhanush’s – after Vijay’s successful transition into politics, has fueled speculation. Right now, social media is abuzz with comments about how Sivakarthikeyan is possibly laying the groundwork and building an organization that could give him that option in the future.
