Sanjay Dutt has clarified the comment he made during his appearance on Shekhar Suman’s talk show. Shekhar tonite.
Taking up
He added, “My comments were made in the context of a scripted conversation that was intended to be light-hearted and humorous. The spirit behind them was similar to the humor and sarcasm seen in films. Munna BhaiEspecially the concept of ‘Gandhigiri’, which was meant to convey a message of love, warmth, unity and harmony. Unfortunately, my words were interpreted out of that intended context.”
Appeared on Sanjay Dutt Shekhar tonite On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, where he spoke about the current situation in the country and said that he no longer felt “peace” in the country.
Sanjay Dutt said, “The people of this country are very dear. There should be peace. I can’t feel such peace in our country anymore. We Indians are big-hearted people, and we are hospitable. We have given a lot and we should always remain so. I pray to Shivaji that those days come back soon.”
Sanjay also brought his iconic during the conversation Munna Bhai Character in a political satire. He humorously imagined himself as the Prime Minister of India for five minutes and delivered an imaginary speech to the nation in his signature Munna Bhai style.
“I love Gandhiji very much. And everyone knows Gandhiji’s doctrine, see evil, hear evil, speak evil. But today even the fourth monkey is asked who will do evil? (I really believe in Gandhiji. Everyone knows his three monkeys – see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. But today I want a fourth monkey, who will also see wrong? The second one said that it is also wrong?)
His comments later sparked an online controversy and debate, with parts of the conversation interpreted as out of context in which they were made.
