Ranbir Kapoor has turned 44 today. On the occasion of his birthday, Bhansali Productions shared a wish film style. Sharing a group photo of director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, actors Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal from their recent meeting, the production house’s official handle captioned the picture, “Today, there is only love, no war! Happy birthday Ranbir! Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 21st January Love and War.”
Last week, the makers unveiled the incriminating posters of the lead actors. Sharing a picture of Ranbir Kapoor’s blood-soaked hand, the makers wrote, “Ishq V. Jaang Vi (Love too and war too).”
Turning back the clock, Alia Bhatt is seen in an obvious cabaret dancer look. The caption along with the picture read, “Aag bhi, ki jaan bhi! (She is the queen of hearts and fire too).”
Vicky Kaushal let her eyes speak louder than words. His official poster was accompanied by the caption, “Nazre Milengi, Lakina Hatengi Nahi! (Eyes will meet, but you can’t avoid it).”
Earlier this month, the film unit completed its shoot.
The shoot of the film ended with Bhansali and the team sharing an emotional farewell with the entire unit. After wrapping up, the filmmaker will now turn his attention to the post-production work of the film.
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Love and War is expected to be the most expensive film of the filmmaker’s career. It is expected to follow two strong-willed army officers, played by Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal, who find themselves in a dramatic love triangle involving Alia Bhatt’s character.
Since last year, several BTS pictures from the sets of Love and War have gone viral on social media.
One was a picture of Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in full Airforce attire, which surfaced online and instantly created a buzz on social media. He is playing the role of an officer in the film.
The film is expected to hit the theaters on January 21, 2027. It reunites Bhansali with Ranbir after their 2007 collaboration, Saawriya. It also marks the director’s reunion with Alia, after they worked together on Gangubai Kathiawadi.
On the work front, Ranbir is currently gearing up for the release of Nitesh Tiwari’s much-awaited epic saga, Ramayana: Part 1, where he plays the role of Lord Rama. The film is slated to hit theaters on November 6. On the other hand, Alia Bhatt was last seen in YRF Spy Universe’s action thriller Alpha and Vicky Kaushal was last seen as a narrator in Kesari Chapter 2.
