Amidst speculations about Govinda’s marriage, Kashmira Shah has come out in support of Sunita Ahuja. Her reaction came a day after Komal Rani Swarankar dismissed allegations that she was responsible for problems between Govinda and Sunita.

Taking to Instagram, Kashmira spoke about the boundaries she has maintained between her professional and personal life throughout her three-decade-long career.

Kashmira wrote, “Since the beginning of my career, in total 30 years and in total 50 films “not a single co-star of mine” knew anything about my personal life or feelings. The person I told everything to was @krushna30. I have never heard of such a bond in a work environment where a co-worker knows such intimate details.

She added that she considers herself a strong woman and comes from a family of strong women. Kashmira also said that women who protect their families are often called “brutal”, “criminal”, “dominant”, “centered” and “selfish”, but claimed that this was the first time she had seen such women being called “killers”.

“I know I am a strong woman and I married into a family of strong women. We are often called ruthless domineering focused selfies because we take care of our families but this is the first time we have been called ‘killers’,” she added.

Kashmira then supports Sunita saying that she will stand by her. “So if every mother, wife, sister, aunt and their dog is called a killer to protect the “one man” they love, be it a father, husband, brother and dog then so be it. I’m proud of the woman you are @officialsunitaahuja and I will always stand by you,” she wrote.

What did Komal Rani Swarankar say?

Kashmira’s post comes a day after Komal reacted to rumors of her relationship with Govinda. Rumors started earlier this year about Govinda and his successor form The co-stars were spotted together at the Mumbai airport. Since then, the two have made several public appearances, including a visit to Mumbai’s Lalbaghcha Raja.

In an Instagram story, Komal accused Sunita of trying to harm her husband for years and said she cannot be considered a “homewrecker” in an already troubled marriage.

“No one likes the curse of a woman who is trying to kill her husband from a saloon. [The curses of a woman who has been trying to kill her own husband for years do not affect anyone.] No one can ever be a homewrecker in an already broken home. The people of our country are not stupid enough to run after crows because someone told them that crows have caught your ears,” Komal wrote.

He also questioned why anyone would choose to make their personal pain public rather than trying to deal with it privately. Komal alleged that Sunita was mentally harassing Govinda, preventing him from working, keeping him at home and isolating him.

“She seems to enjoy displaying it in public. Is it really a pain or is it a well-thought-out plot? Constantly mentally harassing a man, stopping him from working, forcing him to stay at home and ruining him, completely isolating him and driving him to death,” he added.

Komal further questioned whether a “good and devoted wife” could treat her husband like this. She also suggested that some women could deliberately tap into public sympathy that they could not do behind closed doors.

“I don’t think any good and devoted wife can treat her husband so horribly. Are women mentally ill like that, or are they too smart for their own good, knowing full well that what they can’t do behind closed doors, they can gain public sympathy by going public,” she said.

Komal also urged Sunita not to use his name to push what he described as an “agenda”. He ended his post with: “God save every good man from such cunning women.”

Govinda and Sunita have been married since 1987. The couple has two children, daughter Tina Ahuja and son Yashwardhan Ahuja.
