Parineeti Chopra and Jennifer Winget recently collaborated on the Netflix series, Shake: Trust no one. The duo attended the show’s success party in Mumbai on Sunday.
However, a video of the celebration soon drew criticism from Parineeti Chopra, in which the actress was seen cutting the cake while Jennifer stood behind her. Social media users accused Parineeti of not making enough space for her co-star. The moment fueled speculation about their off-camera equation. Now, Jennifer has responded to the online chatter, telling people not to read too much into the moment.
Taking to his Instagram story, the actor wrote, “Let’s please be kind to each other and stop the negativity and make it into something it’s not. I just backed out because there wasn’t enough room.”
Jennifer clarified that Parineeti has always been kind and loving towards her. “We have nothing but love for each other. We are a team, and there is plenty of room for all of us to shine without dragging each other down. Thank you!,” she concluded.
Parineeti Chopra also reacted to the viral clip and the buzz surrounding the cake-cutting moment at the success party. The actor wrote, “Jenny and I have spent the last two days watching some ‘creative’ videos from self-proclaimed journalists. And guess what? The joke’s on you, because we’re laughing. Hysterically!”
Calling Jennifer her “favorite girl”, Parineeti added, “She was my favorite in Shack, and what an amazing actress she is! For people who create controversies for a few minutes of fame – maybe try to do something meaningful with your life? But thanks for the entertainment. We needed a good laugh!”
