When Steve and Peggy are at home, there is a knock at the door. Steve immediately hides behind a wall while Peggy goes to open it. The visitor is Loki (Tom Hiddleston), wearing the Time Variance Authority uniform. Paige doesn’t recognize him, but Loki tells her, “No, but I can help you. Both of you.” Steve then comes out from behind the wall and is clearly surprised to see the visitor.

The Loki depicted here is not the one killed by Thanos in Infinity War; This is the 2012 version who escaped with the Tesseract during the Endgame event, was later taken over by the TVA, and eventually became the god of the stories, responsible for overseeing the multiverse. The fact that he is at Steve and Peggy’s house raises questions about whether the alternate timeline that Steve created when he decided to stay in the past has become important enough for Loki or the TVA to get involved.

The footage also ties into reports that Steve, Peggy and their family were relocated to Earth-8282, a development that could prove crucial to the Doomsday storyline.

Bruce is making a video diary from a bunker deep underground; He says this is the first ‘incident’ this has happened to him in over ten years, meaning his time spent with Jean Gray in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. He has isolated himself and is developing a gamma-suppression serum to prevent the Hulk from once again rising to power. But soon, the lights flicker and a green glow appears. Then Doctor Doom’s voice is heard, “Mister Banner.”

When Bruce asks him why he is there, Doom simply replies, “I’m here to get you.” The scene goes dark as the Hulk roars; When the camera pans to the ground, the audience sees a glowing green sigil, and at that moment, both Bruce and Doom are gone.

The situation immediately calls into question Bruce’s involvement in Doomsday. Since Mark Ruffalo was not included in the film’s original cast announcement, this scene could be used to explain his absence or indicate that Bruce has been captured by Doom. It’s also possible that Doom has plans regarding the Hulk. The glowing symbol also reveals that Doom has access to powerful forms of multiversal transportation.

Then, the screen shows the two universes heading towards a collision, with missiles fired between them, one of which is identified as Earth-10005, the homeland of the Fox X-Men universe. The TVA then learns that this is happening in all universes, with reports that 3,000 universes are being invaded at the same time.

This discovery provides a better understanding of the scale of doomsday. It is already known that the film will bring together characters from multiple MCU universes, including the X-Men. It has already been confirmed that Professor Xavier, Magneto, Cyclops, Mystique, Nightcrawler and Gambit will be entering the MCU.

The fact that TVA made this discovery doesn’t mean it shows exactly how those characters will fit into the story, but rather it does explain why the different universes may have to face each other soon. The figure of 3,000 has also attracted the attention of fans due to its possible link with Tony Stark’s famous line “I love you 3,000” from Endgame.

The scene does not show that Doom and Tony are different versions of the same person. Rather, the sequence serves as a visual contrast. Tony Stark used his engineering abilities to produce the armor, which later proved essential in saving the universe. Now, Doom is using his skills to create a mask belonging to one of Marvel’s most dangerous villains.

The second is related to Doctor Doom. The fact that he appears in Bruce Banner’s bunker suggests that he is searching for important people or resources even before the events of Doomsday fully unfold. It’s not clear exactly what he wants from Bruce, but the fact that he’s taking proactive steps gives the antagonist a more significant presence before the main story begins.

The third issue is the multiverse crisis itself; The fact that TVA has discovered that thousands of universes are under attack shows the kind of problem that could bring the Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men, and other characters into contact. This will be one of the main questions of Doomsday whether they will ally or fight each other.

Anthony Russo also explained the reason for including new footage in the re-release of Avengers: Doomsday, telling Marvel, “Audiences are coming to Avengers: Doomsday with an emotional connection to their previous experiences in the MCU.
