Tom Cruise is very excited about The Odyssey

On Thursday, Tom took to social media to put his stamp of approval on Nolan’s ambitious odyssey. He shared a photo of himself after attending an early screening of Nolan’s Greek epic, and thanked the filmmaker, his wife and producing partner Emma Thomas, and the film’s cast and crew.

“Wow! To Chris, Emma and all your amazing cast and crew. Thank you for an amazing night at the movie theater. I can’t wait to see it again!” Tom captioned a photo of himself holding a movie ticket in front of the film’s IMAX 70mm theater.

As soon as Tom shared his review, social media users flooded the comments section, with many reacting with their praise for Nolan’s epic and sharing their thoughts on the film. One fan commented, “When a movie inspires someone to go back to the theater immediately after leaving, that’s the only review that really matters”, another shared, “When the person who actually jumps off cliffs for genuine entertainment asks you to see the movie, you just book the ticket!” “I mean wow, your review is a real recommendation,” a third social media user wrote.

The first batch of reviews for the film arrived earlier this week, and they were overwhelmingly positive, with critics praising The Odyssey. So far, the film has achieved an impressive 96% Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes.

In addition to its early critical praise, the film is projected to gross between $85 and $95 million in its opening weekend, which would exceed the $82.7 million made by Nolan’s last film, his Best Picture-winning three-hour biopic epic. According to TheWrap, Oppenheimer was caught at its opening in July 2023.
