Rana Naidu Season 2: The second season of Netflix’s popular crime thriller web series ‘Rana Naidu’ has been released. Taking audience feedback seriously this time, the makers have reduced the amount of swearing, but have increased the level of action and drama more than before. Let’s find out, is this new season better than the previous season or is the name just a rumour.
Series Story (No Spoilers)
Rana Naidu’s (Rana Daggubati) son is kidnapped, and Rana returns to the dark and dangerous world he wanted to escape. This time there is a new villain in the story Rauf Mirza (Arjun Rampal), who is more dangerous than Rana and wants to take old revenge from Rana. The story of the series goes from Goa to Mumbai’s underworld, cricket, film industry and the streets of politics.
How is the acting?
Rana Daggubati once again proved that this character was made for him. His expressions and emotions are quite powerful. Venkatesh Daggubati was less visible this time but whenever he came, he dominated. Arjun Rampal has played the role of a formidable villain. He looked dangerous, stylish and scary like the hero. Surveen Chawla, Kriti Kharbanda, Sushant Singh and Abhishek Banerjee are also apt in their respective roles.
Direction and technical matters
This time the profanity and profanity have been controlled, so that even family viewers can watch it. The direction is good and the cinematography is also very good. However, the identity of Mumbai seems to be a bit blurred. The editing is fast and the series doesn’t feel boring.
What are the weaknesses?
The roles of some characters like Rajesh Jais and Tanuj Veerwani seem incomplete. The story gets a little twisted in the later episodes. There is also a lack of suspense in the series. The balance between family drama and action is sometimes skewed.
Should I watch it or not?
‘Rana Naidu Season 2’ is much better than the first season in terms of action but is slightly behind in terms of suspense. If you have watched and loved the first season, this second season will not disappoint you either. It is an entertaining package with action, drama and strong acting.
