Stunt coordinator Geeta Tandon has blamed the team of Anil Kapoor’s show Top 1% of India To disrespect him. Calling the team, Geeta revealed that she and her son were invited as guests but had to wait for 9 hours without any update from the production team.
Geeta, who is a stunt professional and body double with over two decades of experience, shared a post on Instagram and wrote that she has received an invitation from the production team to appear as a guest on the show with her son. She revealed that although the appearance was unpaid, she agreed, hoping it would give them some exposure. He even quit a day’s work and called his son back from Goa for the shoot.
According to Geeta, they reached the set at 12:30 pm and were told that their part would be filmed in a few hours. However, with no clear indication of when they would be called, the wait grew longer. “My son and I were made to sit in a tent, no one available to ask for tea or coffee. No proper communication, no updates, no clarity on when we would be called,” she wrote.
When she asked the production team about the delay, Geeta alleged that the production manager said, “If they want to leave, let them, but they can’t leave without singing.” He shared that the experience left him with no choice but to walk out, and they eventually left the set at 9:15 p.m.
“I’ve spent years walking alongside some of the biggest names in the industry. Yet people like me, who work tirelessly behind the camera, are still sometimes treated as if our time and our presence don’t matter. The person behind the camera deserves the same respect as the person in front of it,” he added.
