Bigg Boss 20 Contestant Riti Tiwari’s team has responded to allegations leveled by her former stepfather and Punjabi singer Ekam Bawa, who claimed that Riti and her mother Rani Tiwari “tortured” her during the time he lived with them.

Riti Tiwari’s team share statement

In a statement shared on Riti’s Instagram Stories, her team called Ekum’s claims “false” and urged the media to verify the allegations before reporting them.

The statement read, “We are disappointed with the false claims made by #EkamBawa against Riti Tiwari and her family on various media platforms. Riti is currently in the #BiggBoss20 house and cannot answer these allegations herself.”

“We request the media to please verify the facts before raising such defamatory claims and give the family a fair chance to be heard. Necessary legal action has been initiated against #EkamBawa regarding these allegations,” the statement concluded.

What did Ekam Bawa say?

Ekum shared a video on Instagram, in which he alleged that Riti and Rani “tortured” him during the time he was with them. In the caption, he wrote, “Riti Tiwari and her mother have annoyed me a lot.”

In the video, Ekam recalled the alleged fight with Rani. He claimed that the incident took place around 9 or 10 pm when the two had an argument.

Ekam said, “Bhai, Riti came to my room. She threw all my clothes from the hanger in my closet on the floor.” He further claimed that Riti told him, “Ekam bawa, nikkal. (Ekam bawa, get out.).”

According to Ekam, he was surprised that Riti addressed him by his name and questioned his relationship. He said to her, “Kya rishta hai mera tumhara, tumhe paat hai? (Do you know what our relationship is with each other?).”

Ekam further alleged that both Riti and Rani told him, “Tere se jo hota hai tu kar le. (Do what you have to do).” He said he questioned them about what they expected him to do in that situation.

Ekam has also said that he plans to share a different event every day until Riti Bigg Boss 20 home

This is not the first time that Ekam has spoken about his relationship with Rani and Riti. In an earlier video, he had questioned Riti’s claims of receiving a monthly allowance of Rs 20,000 to Rs 25,000.

Ekam also claimed that he lived in the same flat with Rani and Riti from 2020 to 2025 and that Riti knew about his relationship with her mother. He said he and Rani were in a live-in relationship from 2020 to 2022 before marrying in February 2022. He also shared pictures of himself with Rani and Riti talking about their time together.
