Actress Yami Gautam received her first National Award for the film 2024 Section 370 from President Draupadi Murmu at a function held today in Kevadia, Gujarat. This is the first time that the national award ceremony has been held in Gujarat instead of the familiar venue, Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi.

Yami was accompanied by husband Aditya Dhar, who is also the co-producer of the film. Section 370. Yami wore a black saree on the occasion, while Aditya Dhar wore a black band.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting announced the winners of the 72nd National Film Awards on 18 July.

The winners were selected by an 11-member jury headed by acclaimed filmmaker Jayaraj, who evaluated the entries from across the country before submitting their recommendations to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Regarding Article 370

Directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, who co-wrote the film with Aditya Dhar, Monal Thacker and Arjun Dhawan, Section 370 Stars Yami Gautam and Priyamani, along with Skand Thakur, Ashwini Kaul, Vaibhav Tatwadi, Arun Govil and Kiran Karmarkar.

It is based on the 2019 abrogation of the special status granted to Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370 of the Constitution of India.

Yami Gautam has played the role of NIA officer Zuni Haksar in the film. Appreciated for her outstanding performance, Yami, aka Zuni, fights the system to abrogate Article 370 of the Constitution of India.

The film was released worldwide on February 23, 2024. Made with a good budget of Rs 20 crore, the film earned Rs 110 crore at the box office.
