Tom Cruise shares his thoughts on one of the biggest changes facing the film industry: artificial intelligence (AI). The actor spoke about AI during a BAFTA Life in Pictures event in London, where he reflected on his long career.

As AI tools become more common in filmmaking, Cruise was asked how he sees their role in movies. He talked about why human effort and creativity are still important in movies. His comments drew applause from the audience as he explained why human creativity still matters on screen.

Tom Cruise admits that AI will be a part of filmmaking in the future. He said the use of technology is going to increase, but also pointed out that viewers still want to see real things.

According to BAFTA moderator Edith Bowman, in conversation with Tom Cruise diversitysaid, “The thing is, there’s nothing like a human being. Creatives have to keep creating. You know, it’s coming and it’s going to happen. But people want to see the real thing.”

Cruise claimed he wanted to keep the theater experience alive because movies can bring people together. He clarified that he has no problem with streaming platforms, but feels that watching a movie in a cinema is a different kind of experience.

According to the actor, people still love going to theaters and sharing that experience with others. He added that he “always believed in humanity.”

After saying goodbye to the Mission Impossible franchise last year, Tom Cruise is now gearing up for his next film, the diggerAlejandro G. Directed by Iñárritu.

The film follows a powerful man who goes on a desperate mission to save humanity. His actions have created a grave threat and he must find a way to stop the disaster before it destroys everything.

The actor stars alongside Riz Ahmed, John Goodman, Sandra Huller, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Jesse Plemons. This film is scheduled to release in theaters on October 2.
